Mortgage Application Checklist
- W-2 forms for the past year, and your pay stubs for the last 30 days reflecting year-to-date income.
- If you are self-employed, bring personal and business Federal tax returns for the last two years, your business balance sheet and profit and loss statement for the year-to-date.
- Copies of your checking and savings statements for the last 2 months for all accounts being used for down payment and closing cost funds.
- A list of your current debts including account numbers and addresses.
- A list of residences for the past 2 years including Landlord, mortgage and/or land contract holder name, address and/or account numbers.
- A signed copy of the purchase agreement or building contract for the property you are buying or building, including a legal description of the land. Processing fee is $300 (check or money order).
Other information that might be needed:
- Names and addresses of any out-of-town employers, banks, and credit references.
- Divorce Decree and/or Separation Agreement
- Real estate taxes, annual homeowners insurance premium, lot size
- Bankruptcy papers
- Schedule of other Real Estate owned (leases/land contracts, account numbers, payments, balances)
- Investment property-all leases, 2 years Federal tax returns with Schedule "E" and/or
- Operating expense statement
- VA-DD214 or DD13, Certificate of Eligibility, permission to live offbase
- Additional Information for Construction Requests
- Plans, specs, and cost breakdown
- Signed contract with Builder
- Proof of lot ownership (if applicable)
- Approved builder information (if necessary)
