Larry Grace
First Vice President, Commercial Banking
Larry has over 30 years in commercial lending and banking, including over 22 years in Ann Arbor. Prior to joining
Bank of Ann Arbor, Larry was in charge of the Ann Arbor office for a Michigan based regional bank. He has
extensive experience dealing with privately held businesses.
Mr. Grace has served on the boards of several community organizations including the Ann Arbor Area Chamber of
Commerce, the United Way Finance Committee, University of Michigan Alumni Association and Michigan Ability
Partners. Mr. Grace holds a B.A. degree from the University of Michigan, as well as certificates from the
University of Oklahoma and the University of Wisconsin banking schools.
Patrick Tamblyn
Ypsilanti District President
Patrick has over 25 years of banking experience, with the last 21 years in Washtenaw County. He joined BOAA in
January 2006 as President of the Ypsilanti District. Pat previously served in commercial lending roles at
KeyBank and Comerica. He is active in the community, and currently serves on the board of the Ann Arbor
YMCA and is an elder at First Presbyterian Church Ann Arbor. Mr. Tamblyn holds a B.B.A. degree in Finance
from Western Michigan University and an Associate of Applied Science degree in Aviation from Northwestern
Michigan College.
Debby Weirich
Vice President, Commercial Banking
Debby has been in banking for over 30 years, working for KeyBank and Comerica. Debby has been with Bank of Ann Arbor
since its inception in 1996. She has a diverse commercial banking background and enjoys working with physician
groups, nonprofits, high tech companies and family owned companies.
Ms. Weirich is active with the St. Paul United Church of Christ in Saline. She holds an MBA from Eastern Michigan
University.
Michael Cole
Vice President, Technology Industry Group
Michael has over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry. He was a founding member of Royal Bank
of Canada's Technology Industry Group where he managed a $1 billion portfolio of relationships and delivered a complex
set of financial instruments to the world's leading technology companies. Prior to joining Bank of Ann Arbor, he
spent three years providing strategic, financial and market development consulting services to technology driven
organizations and served as CEO for two start-up firms.
Michael returned to his hometown of Ann Arbor in 2001 after nearly two decades in California and Texas. He is
actively involved in the region's growing technology community including the Ann Arbor Spark, Digital Detroit,
Great Lakes Venture Quest and the Association for Corporate Growth.
Michael is a summa cum laude MBA graduate of the University of Southern California where he achieved a number
one class ranking. He received his B.A. in Finance with honors from Michigan State University.
Mark Baily
Vice President, Commercial Banking
Mark has 20 years of commercial lending experience with the past 15 years in Washtenaw County. Mark has held
commercial lending positions at Citizens Bank and KeyBank.
Mark is involved with the Ann Arbor Chamber of Commerce, the Ann Arbor Public Schools Partners for Excellence
Advisory Board, the Rotary Club of Chelsea, Habitat for Humanity, and is active with the Ann Arbor First
United Methodist Church. He earned a B.A. degree from Albion College.
Jon Bowdler
Vice President, Commercial Real Estate Manager
Jon, a long-time resident of Ann Arbor, is a familiar face to many in the Michigan commercial real estate industry.
With over 20 years of experience, Jon has built a loyal following of clients who appreciate his excellent service.
Mr. Bowdler gives back to the community as a member of the Board of Washtenaw Affordable Housing Corporation. Mr.
Bowdler holds an undergraduate degree from Michigan State University, a M.B.A. from the University of Michigan,
and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Jim Plummer
Vice President, Commercial Banking
Jim has many years of experience in commercial lending and working with the Ann Arbor business community. Most
recently he was with an area bank with a focus on commercial real estate. He holds an undergraduate degree from
Eastern Michigan University.
Mark Holtz
Assistant Vice President, Technology Industry Group
Mark is responsible for developing relationships throughout the technology business community and servicing their
banking needs. His previous experience was at LaSalle Bank where most recently he was a Commercial Loan Officer.
Mark holds a B.A. from Northwood University, graduating magna cum laude.
