Administration Team Bios
Tim Marshall
President & CEO
Tim joined Bank of Ann Arbor in 2004 as President. He became CEO with the retirement of Founding President Bill
Broucek in January 2005. Tim began his banking career in 1981 having most recently come from Salin Bank where
he was President and Chief Operating Officer. Salin Bank is a family-owned community bank in Indiana with over
$900 million in assets in 31 locations.
Mr. Marshall is a graduate of Purdue University, where he received a B.S. in Industrial Management from the
Krannert School of Business. He also holds a M.B.A. from Butler University.
Hans Maier
Senior Vice President Specialty Banking
Hans is one of the founding members of Bank of Ann Arbor. Previously, he spent 32 years with Great Lakes Bancorp
(now TCF Bank). His primary responsibility is marketing the bank's deposit products to not-for-profit and
municipalities. Hans is a life long resident of Ann Arbor and is active in various community service activities,
presently serving on the Boards of Directors of the Hand On Museum and Ann Arbor Area Convention and Visitors
Bureau.
Mr. Maier holds a B.S. degree from Eastern Michigan University.
Mark Slade
First Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Mark has been in banking for over 17 years, working for KeyBank for 13
years and Ann Arbor Commerce Bank for two years. Mr. Slade is the Chief
Financial Officer for the Bank and also oversees operations, human resources,
and the ATM Network.
Mark is involved with SOS Crisis Center and other community organizations.
Mr. Slade holds a B.B.A. in accounting from Eastern Michigan University.
